CRASH KELLY
Electric Satisfaction Liquor & Poker Music (2006) review by Rick D.
I will be honest. After first listen to CRASH KELLY’s second release, Electric Satisfaction, I wasn’t too into them. Oh how wrong I was!
As any good music critic (is that an oxymoron?) would do, I listened to it again and realized what this band from Canada is all about; rock with hooks and a pop catchiness in the vain of bands like Cheap Trick & the Goo Goo Dolls (older GGD) with a love of the 70’s rock like
Alice Cooper, Bowie, T-Rex, Thin Lizzy and Aerosmith.
CRASH
KELLY had me singing along to their pop sensible 70’s vibe rock;
especially songs like
“Cut on Your Tongue”, “Ride The Wire” and “Rock And Rock Disaster (On the
Radio)”. Nice
cover of Alice Cooper’s “Cold Ethyl”!
