Kiss Or Kill

Razor & Tie (2007)

www.azorandtie.com

By Evil Dickie

File under rock.

After first listen, California’s ENDEVERAFTER can be put in the corner of rock music that belongs to bands they have played shows with like Cinderella, Poison & Motley Crue.  A lesser critic would automatically lump them into that sub genre of rock;  but not this one.

I do have to admit most of the songs off  Kiss or Kill are flavored towards the past in the vain of the bands previously listed with catchy (sometimes cheesy like "All Night") lyrics & choruses.  If you are a music fan and just want to enjoy some good rock ‘n roll with good lead vocals and catchy chorus and decent & capable musicians.

Sometimes music can’t be deep and meaningful and talk about the world’s problems or even be introspective or self loathing.  Bands like Buckcherry, Poets & Pornstars and ENDEVERAFTER let people enjoy music, sing along & have fun while not trying to re-invent the wheel.  I can respect the hell out of that.  Friends of me know I have bands like Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, 24-7 Spyz, Only Living Witness, boysetsfire, Better Left Unsaid and Pantera in my I-Pod.  Let’s add a couple songs from ENDEVERAFTER.

Some of the songs off Kiss or Kill like “From Ashes of Sin” & “Poison” have a more modern flavor in the vein of alternative/hard rock bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Coheed And Cambria.  So you new rock fans, please remember what styles came before you…

My favorite songs on Kiss Or Kill are: “Poison”, “Next Best Thing”, “Road To Destruction” & “From Ashes of Sin”.
