STUCK MOJO

www.stuckmojomedia.com

Southern Born Killers (2007)

by Rick D

MOJO is rising…again (thank god)

For those who do not know, STUCK MOJO released their 1st album (Snappin’ Necks) in 1995. They have been around longer that. Starting in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The original lineup is gone. As an old time fan of the band I am disappointed that Bonz wasn't around for this rising.  But due to lifestyle differences, original members Rich and Bonz had to part ways.  What could of been...  Main man (guitarist/vocals) Rich Ward is at the helm and is steering the ship. We are all lucky to be on the ride. Hang on!

Now the year is 2007 and these 4 guys from down south demonstrate their own blend of metal and hard rock. Yes, their lead singer (Lord Byron) raps but I don’t seem them as a rap rock/metal band. Guitarist Rich Ward shreds, grooves and lays guitar rhythms, riffs & leads that rival any of the so-called guitar gods of the genre. Ask around, the guitarists in the scene know about this guy and you should to. STUCK MOJO are musicians/artists who support the American way of life. Quite right of a lot of my personal political views but I have a mind and use it. If I do not agree, doesn’t mean I can’t head bang and jump around like a fool to my favorite Mojo songs. I have listened to a lot of bands in the metal/hard rock genres. MOJO has a sound that makes you move and can make you neck hurt too.

The Southern Born Killers takes off with ("I'm American"); an anthem telling the world on who STUCK MOJO are and what they believe in; the good old USA.

STUCK MOJO speaks out in the world of liberal, vegan and free spirited minded individuals in the world of entertainment.  In the lyrics from on the cd Southern Born Killers, STUCK MOJO admits there are problems in the USA but America is still the best country to live. They have brought the heat on themselves from liberal criticism and mid east supporters. And I commend them on that for taking a stand. I vote democrat and I am tired of people complaining about America too. Sometimes I think if you don’t like it, get the hell out. America is messed up but it is still where I want to be. How about you?

STUCK MOJO has spoken, what do you have to say?
